| The electric plant of Bankside : this big fortress was made in 1947 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, creator of the famous red phone boxes. The machine room (Turbine Hall) lodged huge generators. The transformation of the building into a museum was made by the Swiss Architecture cabinet Herzog and Meuron between 1995 and 2000. | ||
